How long has Vantage Internet Services been hosting Web sites?
Vantage Internet Services has been in business in its present form since 1998.

What connectivity do you have to the Internet backbone?
Our NOC center is located in Fremont California. We have a fully redundant network comprising over 400 MB's of connections. Our network boasts top of the line, modern equipment. We use Cisco 7500 routers, Cisco Catalyst switches, and high quality Cat5 network cabling. We are a Tier 1 Web Host with 5 backbone providers for maximum uptime. Our system is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All of this provides 99.5% uptime.

Does Vantage place any restrictions on the content of my Web site?
We do not provide service for pornographic Web sites, or Web sites dealing with illegal content. The customer will ensure that its use of the Internet complies with all applicable federal, state and local law and regulation, including but not limited to those principles of law which protect against compromise of copyrights, trade secrets, proprietary information and other intellectual property rights, libel or defamation of character, invasion of privacy, tortuous interference and export of technical or military data to prohibited countries.

Does Vantage offer a money-back guarantee?
We are confident that you will be perfectly satisfied with our hosting services. But in the event you need to cancel your account, you will be happy to know we offer the best guarantee in the business.

  • If you are not completely satisfied with your account within the first 30 days of signing up with us, we will give you a full refund, no questions asked.
     
  • You may cancel your account at any time. There is no minimum contract to sign.
     
  • We do not refund unused monthly fees paid in advanced after the first 30 days.

How much does it cost to transfer my existing Web site to Vantage?
We charge the same price for new accounts, whether it is a new Web site or one transferred from another server.

How long does it take to set up a new account?
You will receive an Account Activation Email from the Vantage Network Operations Center within hours of placing your order. This email will provide you with complete instructions on how to post a Web site to your new Vantage hosting account.

How am I billed for services?
If you pay by credit card, your monthly fees will automatically be charged to your credit card account on a recurring basis. Vantage Internet Services accepts all major credit cards - American Express, Visa and Master Card. We also accept company checks, money orders and cashier's checks drawn on U.S. Dollars. If you choose to pay by check, you will receive an invoice before your account is due for renewal. All account paid by check, money order, or cashier's check will be billed on a quarterly basis.

Does Vantage accept international orders?
Yes. We are pleased to have customers in over 100 countries around the world. All funds are payable in U.S. Dollars. International customers may register top level domain names supplied by Network Solutions (such as .com and .net extensions), or may choose to have Vantage host their existing international domain name.

May I switch hosting plans once I've paid?
You may upgrade your hosting plan at any time. You will be billed for all remaining months left in the account billing cycle for upgrades. Upgrades are subject to $10.00 one time change fee.

Do you offer dial up service?
No. You will need local Internet access in order to maintain your Web site and retrieve email addressed to your site.

Do you have an "anti-spam" policy?
Yes. We do not permit spamming (sending mass quantities of unsolicited email), even if our network is not being used to deliver the email. Any complaint concerning spam email that promotes an account hosted by Vantage is subject to immediate suspension. There will be no refunds for cancelled accounts due to violation of our anti-spam policy.
